New Generation Beekeeping came about because of my concerns about 'modern' beekeeping methods, which are not sustainable. By allowing the bees to live in the more natural environment of a Warré hive I am increasing my understanding of their activities by watching the comings and goings on the step as well as peeking in the windows at the back. None of this disturbs the bees and there is no need to force them to use a bigger hive than is natural.
